Learn-to-skate Levels:

Snowflake 1-4 (3-5 year olds):

This program has been designed for the younger beginning skaters. It allows the younger skaters to learn with those their own age, while having lots of fun. While helmets are not required, they are strongly recommended for this age group.

Snowball 1-8 (6-16 years old):

Snowball classes are for those children 6 to 16 years old. Skaters will be placed in classes with their peers of the same skating level. Certain skating elements are taught at each level; after the skater has completed the required elements for the class, the will progress to the next level.

Freestyle

Skaters must have passed the Delta/Basic 8 level. The focus will be on jumps, spins, and other essential freestyle elements. Once a skater has reached this level it is recommended that they receive supplemental instruction from a private coach. *Please note: In regards to testing, the skaters will be tested on compulsory elements only. Please see a private instructor for further testing.

Adults (16+ years old):

Adult classes will be offered for anyone 16 years old + and would like to learn how to skate. While the skaters will learn the same elements as the younger skaters, the class will be geared more toward adults. *Please note: These classes will be offered at the same time as the other classes, but if there is enough interest, there is a possibility of a lunch time lesson.
